FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the trash collection pickup days?
Garbage cart (smaller cart) --- every Tuesday and Friday
Yard waste cart (large cart) --- every Tuesday
 Recycling bin                     --- every Tuesday
Bulk trash and yard waste   --- second Friday of every month
Royal palm fronds               --- every Saturday*
(*note: fronds other than Royal palm fronds will NOT be picked up)

May I place bulk trash, Royal palm fronds, garbage carts, yard waste carts or recycling bins in the street more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup?

No.  Furthermore, all carts and bins must be collected after pickup and placed  out of sight before the next morning.
May I keep a commercial vehicle in my driveway or parked in front of the street in front of my house?
No.  Any vehicle with more than four wheels is a “commercial vehicle” by definition.  However, “commercial equipment” such as trailers, compressor rigs, cement mixers, etc. cannot be parked overnight unless hidden from view in an approved enclosure.
May I keep a boat on a trailer or a recreational vehicle in my driveway?
This IS permitted by code on Mola, Isle of Capri and Coconut Isle.  It is NOT  permitted on Lido, San Marco, Coral Way, Royal Plaza and Isle of Palms.

The City of Fort Lauderdale is very proactive in code enforcement, especially with the illegal display of trash carts.  A City Code Enforcement officer has been assigned to the Las Olas Isles area and will issue Code Violation Notices as he travels through our area.   Violations can be reported to the City Code Enforcement Department at (954) 828-5207.

We all want to live in a clean neighborhood, and we ask your cooperation in making our area one of which we can be justifiably proud.
